One of the benefits of living in the Midwest is that the wintry months are wantonly littered with free days off when the entire city shuts down: SNOW DAYS! (and they don't count against my vacation time). Despite the blistery cold and three feet of snow that kept me indoors, I must say that it was quite an enjoyable day for:
1.) Lighting the fireplace
2.) Mani/Pedi
3.) Cat napping throughout the day
4.) Doing (lots and lots and lots of) laundry
5.) Cooking cajun shrimp and jalapeno cornbread
6.) Playing with my makeup and FINALLY perfecting the smoky eye look ( a la Kim Kardashian)
7.) Finishing a short story that I started writing months ago
8.) Converting Christmas gifts for other people into gifts for me (i.e. the bubble bath I got for my friend, the book I got for my Dad, the pajamas I got for my cousin, and the gourmet coffees/snacks I got for my boss)
9.) Doing some online shopping to replace the aforementioned (former) gifts for other people
10.) Drinking champagne and eating popsicles
11.) Starting to formulate my New Year's resolutions
TODAY WAS A GOOD DAY :)

2. Fear of balloons (globophobia)
3. Fear of owls (ochlophobia)
. . .I obviously didn't fare too well at the circus as a child ;)
Audio: What's your favorite carol or holiday song?
This one is my all time favorite. . .
and this one is a guilty pleasure ;)
Two weeks and still no call
Below zero, first snow fall
I guess you put me on ice
and
Never thought twice
that
Someone else would come to thaw
My icy cool
and
Melt into my honey smooth
No, I don't love him
but
I love the look in your eyes
When you realize
My thighs
Have parted for someone new
You didn't think you
Had it like that, did you boo?
. . .'cuz when you put me on hold
The other side of the bed got cold
and
I
had
to
feel
some
HEAT
